Trying to follow E3 news while working a very busy job where the only down time I have during lunch is not very fun, and as such I have spent nearly the entirety of my evening catching up to E3 and watching what I missed. I’m just thankful that Microsoft moved their conference to Sunday, otherwise I would have been writing until I was struggling to stay awake. Well, more than I am when finally publishing this. I have been on quite the negative note regarding the game’s I’ve been playing. Metro 2033 Redux was a far worse version of a game I recall loving. Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past was a massive disappointment that had me question the entire quality of the series after finishing that review. MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune Vs. Zombies is just bad, and I’ll explain why soon, while Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the same infuriating crap as Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. I really hoping that I can low the next few games on my docket, because I’m tired of all of this upset and all of these negative reviews.
Before getting into Nintendo, there are something things I missed yesterday where I spent roughly 9 hours on a thirteen page Rundown, where I tried my darndest to recap the presence of about thirty games and write my impressions on all of them. Things slip through the cracks, and I didn’t even had time to shower yesterday I was so busy.Continue reading →
Partially because of my own sheltered nature, and the fact that I never go out because of school or work, but it’s always really exciting for me to hear random people talk about video games. Even if their conversations are a bit vapid and underdeveloped, as they are not as familiar with the language of games as I am. Still, I got to hear three people talk about Firewatch, and that brings me much joy in the medium as a whole as well as leading credence that the landscape of the medium is improving. Yes, it’s circumstantial evidence I’m using to backup a hefty claim, but it makes me feel a bit better about this medium.Continue reading →
And E3 is done… Kinda. Yes, I know the first proper day just happened, but after the press events, my work is mostly done, and 90% of the announcements are out of the way. It’s just impressions from here on out, which is just dandy in my book. However, Nintendo, Square Enix, and AMD all had press conferences, so I’ll just get to explaining what the blazes they were about, and what my Autistic mind thought about them. Continue reading →
It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. It’s Nigmabox’s third annual Super E3 Rundown!
